If you still don’t know till now (of course, some of you might not know since i’ve never mentioned this in any of my previous posts), I’m from Penang. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce the few remaining gay spas still serving the desperate penangites like myself, in times of our needs. Gay spas or usually disguised as a fitness center for males (expect that the doors are usually locked automatically from the inside and only the receptionist is able to open it , an important safety feature to prevent a suprise attack by the police), remains a popular place for gays to hang out for a few reasons:
It is the only place where it is acceptable for you to be naked in public and feel sexy. Once in a while you do get this urge to just strip naked and walk around in public without being mistaken for a psycho freak. Well, the spa is just the place for you.
It is also the place where you can see so many half-naked man walking around and you can just pick the best body build that best suits you. If size really does matters to you, the ultra skimpy white towels leave little for your imagination.
It is also a great place for you to test your own market value and elevate or at the opposite end, crush your self-esteem depending on how lucky you are in getting the man of your dream or how many guys actually starts hitting on you the moment you step into the spa.
Well enough about that, let me introduce the first of the three spas available in Penang.
LEO Fitness Center
I have no idea about the intricate history behind the founding of these spas but who gives a damn. This spa is owned by a few Chinese bosses since it first started and since then had been through various transformation until it becomes what it is today, an expensive, nearly empty, depressing place with a crowd usually less than a football team. Imagine going there at your most desperate hours, hoping to get laid but all you get is five people just looking damn bored and desperate and at the end, you just have to jerk off when you get home with a porn dvd on. That’s how bad it can get on certain days.
This place wasn’t always like that. i can still remember this place in its heydays. The place is crowded to the max that at one time, i could’t even get in because all the lockers were used up. They used to host various games and functions within the walls of this place, that most of the time you couldn’t even move without your hand touching other people’s butts or dicks or get sandwiched between hot steamy bodies. You see people having sex at every corner and this is the best place to have the best orgies especially when its done in the hot steam bath. The steam just gets you in the mood.
They come up with all sorts of special dress code for special occasions, the most famous of them is of course the naked party. The semi-dark rooms would be made completely dark and you go in completely naked, with everyone groping in the dark for one another. The once famous bubble bath is usually hosted once a month. The jacuzzi would be filled with bubbles one meter high and everyone jumps in and have bubbly sex in the pool. This is the very definition of bohemian life, now left forgotten if only in distant memories for those of us who lived to see it all.
They used to host fashion shows hosted by drag queens but best of all, featuring some of the greatest looking male models you can only see in magazines. I’m glad I had the chance to see it even just once. I also had the opportunity to witness the then eagerly awaited annual mr. leo, always a feast for the senses. Well, those days are gone. Let’s get back to the present………………………..
Leo fitness center is now stripped of its pevious glitz and glamour. It is now almost empty. The place was too disgusting to visit at one point that it started to loose its loyal customers. The change in management has paid its toll, it was handed to a bunch of lazy, good for nothing massage boys who hangs around the place flirting with customers trying to get their pockets filled. The palce was left neglected. It was then “saved” by a new management supposedly having had a huge success running a spa in KL, wanting to open a branch on this island. The place was closed for three months and after being renovated it was reborn as LEO. They chose to kept the name.
This place now features the warm pool, a long, rectangular pool filled with warm water minus the bubbly effect of the previous jacuzzi, a steam bath half the size of the old place and a dark labirynth replacing the many dark rooms it used to have. The warm pool is great, the steam room more slimy, even cold and clammy at certain spots barely making you sweat and the labirynth a disaster. It is supposed to be fun getting lost in the dark except of course if you manage to get lost with someone hot. Getting lost alone in the dark coriidors is just so damn scarry, you can see shadows following you everywhere you go and to top it off, the place is just so damn chilly. It really creeps you out. So what’s so great about this place now? You tell me.
The recent renovation now comes with a new price hike. It used to be just RM 10 to get in, the cheapest price for a spa in Malaysia. Now, its RM 20 on weekdays and 25 on weekends. You pay RM 30 for a VIP room which you dont really use since you’ll be spending most of your time in the spa areas. This place is usually filled by the staff themselves. Why pay extra for something you don’t really need. They used to say that this place is supposed to come with its own HOT waiter but till now, all you get is a skinny chinese guy in shorts. Well, if that turns you on, feel free to ENJOY the VIP room.
Given all the information above, i will leave you to decide whether or not this place deserves your well-earned money next time you come to visit this island. ENJOY.
well, sound adventurous. Will try to make time for a feast for the eye in near future, heheheh
